My name is Albert Kozik and I am currently studying for a master’s in history of art and Polish philology at the University of Warsaw as well as for a BA in Chinese Studies. I have graduated from the University of Oxford (MSt in History of Art and Visual Culture, 2018) and the University of Warsaw (BA in history of art and Polish Philology, 2016).
The problems that I find the most fascinating in my academic research exist at the juncture of the history of art and the history of science, and are related to both of these disciplines: the emergence and development of mechanical sculptures in Europe and the philosophical, artistic, and scientific discourses that accompanied them.
